This is a genuinely rich body-and-face moisturizer built around shea butter, squalane and dimethicone for occlusion, with glycerin as the primary humectant underneath. It's marketed for eczema-prone and 'distressed' skin, and the formula backs that up reasonably well: colloidal oatmeal and allantoin are both well-established calming ingredients, ceramide 3 adds a token amount of barrier-lipid support, and it's built without added fragrance. The whipped texture absorbs faster than the thickness suggests, which is part of why it's popular as a family, all-purpose cream rather than a targeted facial treatment. Two things worth knowing. First, eucalyptus oil is present — a botanical extract rather than added fragrance in the strict labeling sense, but it's still a plant-derived aromatic compound that can be a mild irritant or sensitizer for some reactive skin, worth patch testing if you're prone to botanical sensitivities despite the product being marketed as gentle. Second, the ceramide content is a single form at what's likely a modest concentration — genuinely helpful, but this isn't a ceramide-dominant barrier-repair cream in the way some newer, more clinically formulated moisturizers are. Used as a comfortable, broadly tolerated everyday moisturizer for dry skin, it earns its long-standing reputation; used as a targeted eczema or severe-barrier-damage treatment, expectations should be realistic about how much any one jar of cream can do.
