Glycerin
The most common moisturizing component in cosmetics — present in almost every product. Glycerin is a natural component of the skin's NMF and the most effective hygroscopic moisturizer, attracting moisture from the air into the skin.
What is it?
Glycerin (гліцерол) — a trivalent alcohol that is a natural component of the skin's NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). It is obtained as a by-product of soap production or synthetically. A concentration of 5-10% is optimal for hydration. In INCI: Glycerin or Glycerol.
A basic moisturizer in every type of cosmetic — toners, creams, serums, masks. It also acts as a solvent and improves the texture of the formula.
