1. Acceptance

By using puremoonlight.com or downloading and using the Pure Moonlight Skin mobile app (together, the Services), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Service and educational purpose

All content on Pure Moonlight — including ingredient analysis results, safety scores, encyclopedia entries, and blog articles — is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, dermatological advice, or any professional health recommendation.

Do not use information from this site to diagnose or treat any skin condition. Always consult a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional for medical concerns.

3. App accounts

Some app features may be used without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting access to your account, and notifying us of suspected unauthorized use. You can delete your account and associated server data from the app settings.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Pure Moonlight Skin may offer optional auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features. The available plans, trial terms, billing period, and current price are displayed in the app before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• You can use Restore purchases in the app to restore an eligible subscription associated with the same Apple ID.
• Apple handles payments and refunds under its applicable policies. We do not receive your payment-card details.

5. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of ingredient information in our database. However:

• Ingredient text extracted from a photo may be incomplete or incorrect. Always verify results against the product packaging.
• Cosmetic science evolves; information may not reflect the latest research.
• AI-generated summaries may contain errors or hallucinations.
• Safety scores are algorithmically generated and may not account for individual sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions.
• We do not guarantee that any ingredient assessment is complete or error-free.

6. No warranty

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate or reliable.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pure Moonlight and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services or reliance on their content.

8. Intellectual property

The design, code, branding, app experience, and editorial content of Pure Moonlight are the property of Pure Moonlight. You may not reproduce or redistribute this material without permission. INCI ingredient names are standardized nomenclature in the public domain.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts to scrape or bulk-download site content.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or overload the analysis API.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
