Occlusives

Occlusives form a physical barrier on the skin surface that prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL). They do not add water to the skin themselves — instead, they seal in moisture applied underneath. Used as the final step in a routine, occlusives are essential for very dry skin and accelerate barrier repair.
