Our verdict
These are not a skincare product in the usual sense, and that is exactly why they work. The Acne Pimple Master Patch is a hydrocolloid dressing — the same wound-care technology used on blisters and minor wounds — cut into three sizes and sold for spots. There are no actives here at all: the cellulose gum core simply absorbs fluid from an open or weeping blemish, pulling out pus and lymph while keeping the area moist, which is the condition wounds heal fastest in. The polyurethane film on top seals out bacteria and, more importantly, your fingers, which is often the real benefit — a patched spot is a spot you cannot pick, so it heals without the extra trauma that leaves marks. The limits follow directly from the mechanism. Because they only absorb, they do nothing for closed comedones, blackheads or deep cystic bumps under intact skin — the patch has nothing to draw out. They also will not prevent new breakouts. Used on the right kind of spot — one that has come to a head or already opened — they are cheap, genuinely effective, and among the most useful non-active products in skincare.
