Tripeptide-29
Collagen signaling peptide — tripeptide-29 (Gly-Pro-Hyp) is the most common repeat in the structure of type I collagen. Its skin-penetrating replacement activates natural collagenogenesis, tightens the contour, and restores the structure of the dermis.
What is it?
Tripeptide-29 — the tripeptide Gly-Pro-Hyp (glycine-proline-hydroxyproline). This is the most repeated sequence in the structure of human type I collagen — every third amino acid in collagen is glycine, proline and hydroxyproline make up ~25% of the total composition. As a matrikine: fragments of degraded collagen signal fibroblasts about matrix damage — the synthesis of new collagen is initiated. Tripeptide-29 mimics this signal without actual collagen destruction.
Anti-aging component in serums and creams for mature skin. Effective at concentrations from 0.001% (1–10 ppm). Combines well with other peptides and ascorbic acid (cofactor for collagen synthesis).

Main Actions
Tripeptide-29 and hydrolyzed collagen — different ingredients. Hydrolyzed collagen is a mixture of peptides of various sizes, primarily with moisturizing action. Tripeptide-29 is a specific Gly-Pro-Hyp sequence, a cellular signal. As a matrikine, it is much more effective than hydrolyzed collagen for stimulating neocollagenesis.
