Terminalia Chebula Extract
Terminalia Chebula Extract — extract of the fruits of the Terminalia Chebula tree, a key component of the Ayurvedic formula "triphala." It has powerful antioxidant and anti-glycation activity, helping to counteract aging processes related to collagen glycation.
What is it?
Terminalia Chebula Fruit Extract — a plant extract with an exceptionally high content of polyphenolic tannins, demonstrating one of the highest antioxidant activities among plant extracts on the ORAC scale. Mechanism: the key difference lies in the documented ability to inhibit the glycation of proteins (AGE — advanced glycation end-products) — a reaction in which sugars irreversibly bind to collagen, making it stiff and prone to degradation, which is one of the lesser-known but important mechanisms of skin aging. Additionally: the extract also inhibits MMP activity and has antimicrobial activity.
Premium anti-aging serums with a focus on anti-glycation protection, Ayurvedic and natural cosmetics, formulas for mature skin with pronounced signs of glycation aging (loss of elasticity, stiffness).
