Spirulina — blue-green microalgae, one of the richest sources of protein and antioxidants in nature. In cosmetics, it moisturizes, protects against free radicals, and provides nutrients to the skin.
What is it?
Spirulina — cyanobacteria Arthrospira platensis or Spirulina maxima. INCI: Spirulina Platensis Powder or Extract. Composition: 60–70% protein (all essential amino acids), phycocyanin (blue pigment-antioxidant), beta-carotene, chlorophyll, vitamins B1/B2/B3, iron, magnesium, zinc. Concentration in cosmetics: 0.5–5%.
