sh-Polypeptide
sh-Polypeptide — a group of synthetic growth factors and recombinant proteins. sh-Polypeptide-1 (collagen), sh-Polypeptide-9 (transforming growth factor) and others stimulate skin matrix synthesis through direct action on fibroblasts.
What is it?
The INCI group "sh-Polypeptide" includes recombinant proteins: sh-Polypeptide-1 — a pro-collagen analog (stimulates collagen synthesis by fibroblasts), sh-Polypeptide-3 — an elastin analog, sh-Polypeptide-9 — a TGF-β1 analog (transforming growth factor beta-1, a key regulator of matrix synthesis). They are produced by microbial or yeast recombinant expression. Used in concentrations of 0.001–0.01% (very powerful signaling molecules).
Premium anti-aging serums and essences. Often used together with sh-Oligopeptide-1 (EGF) for a comprehensive effect on the skin regeneration factor system.

Main Actions
sh-Oligopeptide-1 = EGF (small, 53 a.a.) — accelerates cell proliferation. sh-Polypeptide-9 = TGF-β analog (larger) — regulates matrix synthesis and protects collagen. Together they cover two different regeneration pathways. Premium K-beauty serums often contain both. sh-Polypeptide-1 = collagen fragment — direct stimulation of fibroblasts. Three different mechanisms — powerful synergy.
