What is it?

Sea Buckthorn — berries and oil of Hippophae Rhamnoides. Pulp oil: bright orange from β-carotene and carotenoids, contains ω-7 (palmitoleic 25-40%) and natural retinoids. Fruit oil: lighter, more balanced in fatty acids. In INCI: Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil or Hippophae Rhamnoides Berry Extract.

Used in restorative products for sensitive and mature skin, the oil is diluted with a carrier (very concentrated), effective in post-healing products and for an even tone.

Key Benefits

The highest natural content of vitamin C
Sea buckthorn contains 10-15 times more vitamin C than an orange — powerful antioxidant protection and stimulation of collagen synthesis.
Unique ω-7 palmitoleic acid
Palmitoleic acid — a natural component of skin sebum — restores the lipid barrier, reduces inflammation, and supports regeneration.
Natural carotenoids and retinoids
β-carotene and carotenoids protect against photoaging, giving the skin a healthy hue. Natural retinoids support skin renewal.

Attention: the oil is very concentrated

Pure pulp sea buckthorn oil is extremely bright orange and stains the skin. In cosmetic products, it is diluted, making it safe. If using 100% oil — dilute 1-5% in a carrier oil.
