What is it?

PCA is naturally part of the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor. In the form of potassium salt, it is better tolerated in aqueous formulas and works as a humectant: attracting and retaining moisture in the surface layers.

Used in toners, serums, creams, masks, mist formulas, and NMF complexes for hydration without a heavy emollient film.

Similar direction to Sodium PCA

Potassium PCA and Sodium PCA work in a similar NMF logic. The difference is more often technological and formulary rather than dramatically perceptible to the user.
