Potassium PCA
Potassium PCA is a mild NMF moisturizer and osmolyte, related to Sodium PCA. Potassium PCA helps retain water in the stratum corneum, maintain skin comfort, and make formulas less tightening after application.
What is it?
PCA is naturally part of the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor. In the form of potassium salt, it is better tolerated in aqueous formulas and works as a humectant: attracting and retaining moisture in the surface layers.
Used in toners, serums, creams, masks, mist formulas, and NMF complexes for hydration without a heavy emollient film.

Main Actions
Potassium PCA and Sodium PCA work in a similar NMF logic. The difference is more often technological and formulary rather than dramatically perceptible to the user.
