Peppermint
A cooling and refreshing ingredient in cosmetics thanks to menthol. Peppermint stimulates blood circulation in the scalp, soothes itching and irritation, and menthol activates cold receptors for an instant feeling of freshness.
What is it?
Peppermint — oil or extract of Mentha Piperita. The main active component is menthol (35-55%), which activates TRPM8 cold receptors. It also contains menthone, 1,8-cineole, and mentofuran. In INCI: Mentha Piperita Oil or Mentha Piperita Leaf Extract.
Used in shampoos and scalp tonics, cooling after-sun creams, massage products, cleansing toners for oily skin, and refreshing products for legs.
