Kokum Butter
Kokum Butter — a solid plant butter from the seeds of the Garcinia indica tree, which grows in South India. Known for its exceptionally high hardness and stability, as well as powerful restorative properties for very dry and damaged skin.
What is it?
Garcinia Indica Seed Butter — a butter with an exceptionally high content of stearic and oleic acids, giving it its characteristic hardness (one of the hardest plant butters) and exceptional oxidative stability — kokum butter hardly becomes rancid even without the addition of antioxidants. Mechanism: the high concentration of saturated fatty acids forms a dense yet easily meltable film at skin temperature, effectively sealing in moisture and creating a protective barrier on the surface of very dry or damaged skin.
Intensively nourishing butters and balms for very dry skin, body formulas (butters, scrubs), lip sticks, and targeted care, anti-aging creams with a focus on firmness.
