Jojoba Oil
Technically, it is not an oil but a liquid wax that most accurately mimics natural sebum. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic, stable for years, and suitable for any skin type. A universal base for serums, oils, and hair care products.
What is it?
Jojoba oil (INCI: Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) is a liquid wax ester, not a triglyceride. Chemically, it is a mixture of long-chain monounsaturated esters (fatty acid + fatty alcohol). Molecular similarity to human sebum is a key characteristic. Stable against oxidation due to the absence of double bonds in glyceride positions — shelf life of 2–5 years. Produced from jojoba bushes (Sonora, Mexico, Argentina).
A universal emollient base and standalone product. Used in oil serums, creams, makeup removers, and hair products. Best combined with fat-soluble actives (retinol, vitamin E).

Main Actions
Technically, jojoba is a liquid wax ester, not a triglyceride oil. Therefore, it does not go rancid (no triglycerides for hydrolysis), is extremely stable in storage, and is chemically more similar to sebum than any plant oil. This difference is important for the skin: the wax spreads more evenly and is less comedogenic.
