Hops Extract
Hops Extract — extract of hop cones, a plant known for brewing, but valuable in cosmetics due to phytoestrogens and antibacterial activity. It supports mature skin and helps control oiliness and problematic skin.
What is it?
Humulus Lupulus Extract — a plant extract with dominant compounds 8-prenylnaringenin (a powerful plant phytoestrogen) and humulone/lupulone (bitter acids with antibacterial activity). Mechanism: hop phytoestrogens can theoretically support estrogen-dependent skin processes (collagen synthesis, moisture retention), similar to other phytoestrogenic plants. Separately, hop bitter acids demonstrate antibacterial activity against some acne-related strains, as well as sebum-regulating properties that control excessive activity of sebaceous glands.
Products for mature skin with a phytoestrogen focus, formulas for oily and problematic skin with an emphasis on sebum control, plant-based antioxidant products.
