What is it?

Bifida Ferment Lysate — lysate (broken cells) of Bifidobacterium longum or B. bifidus. Contains fragments of cell walls, polysaccharides, peptides, and nucleotides. It differs from the fermentate (liquid medium after growth) — the lysate contains intracellular components of bacteria, which enhances immunomodulatory activity. Used by L'Oréal Group (La Roche-Posay Cicaplast, Lancôme).

Restorative component for damaged, atopic, and mature skin. Often combined with Lactobacillus ferment, panthenol, and thermal water for comprehensive barrier restoration.
