Benzophenone-9
Water-soluble UV absorber from the benzophenone group, used for stabilizing formulations and protecting light-sensitive components. Benzophenone-9 often has a technological role rather than that of a primary SPF filter.
What is it?
It is a UV absorber that is better compatible with aqueous systems than many oil-soluble benzophenone derivatives. It can be added to reduce the degradation of color, scent, or actives under light.
Found in aqueous formulas, gels, hair care, decorative cosmetics, scented products, and systems where photostability is important.
